assume grade = 50 % exams + 30 % cw/hw + 20 % lab

notice that a category grade of B- (exam; 80 %), C (cw/hw; 76 %), and F (lab; 33 %), earns a course grade = 69.6 % (D+), i.e. do not ignore cw/hw and lab.
